Default Air: waking from sleep with touchpad

When I first got my Air, when the lid was up and it was sleeping, I'm sure that just a simple touchpad swipe would wake it. Over the last few days I've noticed that to wake it up I now need to click the touchpad or press a key. Has there been a software update that changed this behavior ?

Are you sure it was asleep when you would swipe, and that the display just wasn't black while the laptop was awake? Usually you need to click the trackpad, press a key, press the power button, or lift the lid to wake from sleep.

You are right, the laptop screen was off, it was not sleeping. When the LCD is off a swipe will wake it, when the Air is sleeping completely it needs a click/key to wake.
