Question What sleeve for new 13" MacBook Air?

    Hey guys,

My new 13" MacBook Air is on it's way and I am looking for a lightweight sleeve style case to keep it in. Mainly to stop it getting scratched while traveling around with it.

All the sleeves that I have found so far are made for the 13" MacBook Pro and so are thicker and bulkier than what k want.

What do you recommend? Got a link?

    Much appreciated.

I am having the same debate. I like the look of the crumpler sleeve, simple and straightforward:

    Fug (13" MacBook Air)

Or there is the WaterField case, but I am not a big fan of the flap:

I think the crumpler is exactly what I am after.

    Thanks mate.

    I've always been a foof fan (foofbag.com I think).

If all your worried about is scratches and not knocks, they're quite handy!

EDIT: Similar to the Fug above.

I say give it a couple weeks and there will be lots of options. Remember that the MBA 11" was only announced last week.

All these 'premium' sleeves are interesting..but is there anything a little cheaper :P? Perhaps I should just wait for cheap asian sleeves on eBay.

I emailed FoofBag tonight and got a reply back with them saying that new sleeves for the 11" and 13" MacBook Air will be available in the next couple of days...

Booq has a couple of options for the 11.6". There's a downside, though -- they won't be available until mid-December.

The Booq hard case for the 11.6" looks good at only ~300g.

I just ordered the Incase Neoprene Sleeve for MacBook Air.

It's in pretty short supply at the moment. The Apple Store sells it for $55 with an estimated shipping time of 10-15 business days. I found a few UK-based sellers on eBay selling it for around half the price, all with pretty positive feedback.

I have been using a Tucano Second Skin (Grey) for MBA.

Used it on my Rev B, and now using it on my new Rev D.

I love this case. I've been using it since I bought my MBP.

I bought the same one in black from Hong Kong, reads "MacBook Air ONLY" so I'm guessing it means it's not a big fat 13" standard case and is nice and slim. For $10AUD I can't really go far wrong unless it has big metal teeth inside.
