    Default buying ipad overseas

Is there any good reason not to buy an ipad from overseas given the dollar?

If you were to buy a mac pro i'd say go for it, esp if you have family in sales tax free states who are willing to do some legwork for you.
for an ipad? there isnt much you can save. unless you were getting them from outside the retain distribution channels (thats where you can save big $$$)

No, there is no reason not to do it. Warranty is applied worldwide, and all you need to do is use an Australian duckhead on the charger. Plus you save a fair bit right now.

If they are going to be in, say, the US anyway, then on the 64GB 3G model, they'd save about $100, and thats including tax. If they are in a tax free state, even better - it gets close to $200.

If you're thinking about getting it shipped here, then really no point. There isn't much of a price difference to bother with postage, etc.
