I only have the three buttons... Is this where FaceTime access should be?

Go to settings - phone - facetime
    Switch "on"
    Wait for it to activate
Call your friend on mobile - then tap FaceTime icon...
He/she/it/they will approve your connection and you are looking at your friend...

    Hope this helps

OBTW - after the first time you connect on FaceTime, you will not need to call their mobile... but remember it only works on WiFi..

    Cheers

Hey guys, I would love to try facetime out, but I know nobody with an iPhone 4. Would someone be willing to try it out with me? Please PM me and I will give you my number or you give me your number and I will call you!

In the States they have a dedicated hotline where you can call and talk to an Apple employee.. pretty crazy stuff. Would be good for Apple Australia to do the same thing.

Nah - just had my very first FaceTime call, just tapped the FaceTime button on their contact card and it started going from there, no mobile call required.

Sweet, so are you sure doing it that way doesn't incur any mobile call fee at all? Not even the connection fee for a couple of second call?

No idea how that would work, as all the videos show people making a call then hitting the face time button. But I did wonder when I saw the facetime button on a contacts page.
