i am having LOTS of trouble deciding which to choose.......

    PowerBook G4 667mhz
    15inch screen, 768mb RAM

or save up and by a new iBook G4..... 1.33ghz

as a first mac, would it be worth paying the extra to get an iBook?
would the PowerBook be too slow?

joz, you might want to say what you want to do with a laptop.

My girlfriend has a 667Mhz PBook with 768Mb RAM, it does her alright for basic Photoshop, surfing and email. You definitely notice the difference using my 1.5Ghz machine though (mainly due to my much faster hard drive).

Depends how much you pay for the pBook & what you'll be using the machine for really.
    Care to elaborate? :P

Get the fastest machine you can afford. You may not need the extra speed but it will come in handy someday and you will less likely need to upgrade in the short term.

    for those who asked,
i just need it for storing music, LOTS of homework , internet, watching DVDs.......

i think i'll just keep saving for th iBook- faster, more portable, will last longer etc.
    or maybe a faster (then a 667) 12" AlBook...

    thanks guys
