    Default Macbook pro i7 Graphics

    Hey Guys

I just got a new macbook pro 17" i7 beast but it seams that for some reason its not quite the beast I installed GTA 4 in windows 7 bootcamp and even at the lowest resolution and graphics settings it lags when i drive. Whats up with that? I have seen people play it fine on youtube. Is it just a bad driver for the mac?

Have you installed the graphics drivers from the bootcamp disk?

LaptopVideo2go is a good site for non-bootcampy nVidia drivers.
Also make sure GTA4 is up to date (if its steam, it will be) as apparently the latest major update is a fair performance increase.

From personal experience... do not use the bootcamp drivers for GTA IV. Use the latests forceware drivers from NVIDIA instead

yes I have installed the latest drivers from nVidia using LaptopVideo2go for the custom .inf file

I think I just have GTA 4 v1.0. How can I update it?

UPDATE: I updated to patch 1.0.4 and it works very well.. I am playing it at 1400x900 with everything on medium... I might be able to go higher but it looks pretty good at the moment thanks for the help guys
