USPS Package Tracking

I have read on some different sites that once a package is in Australia you need to use the AusPost website to track it.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

The tracking number is CP32 6627 714U S and it was shipped Priority Mail International.

You often get more information when you track with Aus Post - USPS generally goes direct from "Out of foreign customs" directly to "At foreign delivery depot" then straight to "Delivered", whereas Aus Post gives you "Out for delivery" etc. Weird that it doesn't come up there for your delivery though.

I like the Delivery Status widget by Junecloud (JUNECLOUD // software / mac os x / delivery status 5.2) for tracking - it pings every so often to check if there's an update and displays a Growl notification if the status changes.

Yep, I have that widget too.

Do you know whether mail gets processed in Brisbane or does it have to go through Sydney. Looking at my tracking history, it has come from Chicago if this is any help.

Not sure. Check it in the morning - if you're lucky you'll see "Arrived at foreign post office" which would mean you're likely to see it tomorrow.

Iv gotten a few packages though USPS lately had lately they have not been updating at all - i get electronic information submitted then the parcel shows up any time from a week to 2 weeks

The last couple items I have got from the states have been USPS and it goes from 'Out of foreign customs' to rocking up on my doorstep within a couple days and then it updates to 'Delivered.'

FedEx has much more detailed information, such as 'On Route to Delivery Destination' etc.

A recent package I received from USPS didn’t show up at all on the Auspost tracking, I found USPS good but it might not update often enough.

Put the USPS tracking number into the Australia Post International Tracking site. Once USPS shows "Out of Foreign Customs" the Aust Post tracker should have more local detail.

Still no update or sign of the item. Any ideas on what I should do?

Call Aus Post. They should be able to track it down.
