Default Rumours of price drop on the net

Is that likely to be prior to release? Or is it further down the track? and if so speculation as to how much further? I would hold off if significant but if only say AUS$50 on the 32GB Wi-Fi model (my choice) I wouldn't bother.

I'd suggest the rumours of a price drop are pretty much just that.
Apple specifically announced a US price that will remain the rrp in the US when they're launched. IF they don't sell in the numbers Apple expected then you'd see a price drop until they start selling.
Personally think they'll be too over-priced in Aus anyway. It surprised me that all the commentators were surprised the price was LOW when S Jobs did the announcement!

The rumours only suggest that IF the iPad doesn't sell well, Apple might drop the price.

Just the Naysayers trying to talk down Apple and the iPad again.
