For reasons that are too deep to go into, I had to do a check of all my applications today. When I actually got down to it, I had 174 applications on my machine. This doesn't count things I write myself - apps, Applescripts etc because that then blows it out to 448.

I'm just curious if that's an abnormally large or small amount. Of the 174, I'd use 48 of them on a regular basis - at least once a week - and many of them every day. Anyone care to chip in with their totals and regular usages?

Just done a quick spotlight, I have a total of 270 apps. I would pull up other stats but I'm in a hurry.

    Maybe edit it later.

Only 64 apps on my iBook.

The G5 has 290 apps, the Mac mini has much less (no known at the moment), its just a mail server at this stage.

I have 58 on the PowerMac. The PowerBook would have the same.

The ones who have thousands of apps also include scripts and automator actions as well.
