2 Year Anniversary with girlfriend - Which Bracelet?

Hey,

Coming up on the 2 year anniversary with my lady friend and I want to buy her a nice bracelet.

I've been looking at Tiffany and Co purely for the wank factor of a well known 'upper class' brand (something she's not used to, plus it'll at least be well made!) but I know I'm definitely trading decent value for the name.

This is what I'm currently thinking but for the price I know I'm paying a LOT for the name (on every third segment )

Does anyone have any recommendations for other jewelers in the Brisbane area or specific bracelets (not wallace bishop et al) which would have similar pieces for around that amount? Does anyone think that one I've shortlisted so far looks particularly bad?

I know it's dangerous but I'm not going to let her see it before I buy it so having her choose isn't practical.

Sure you are paying for the brand name, but I don't know many girls who would turn down the blue Tiffany box

I have a couple of T&C items, the quality isn't bad, but if you want to get something more fancy for the money you are forking over then I wouldn't go with T&C.

Does your gf wear a lot of silver? As I wouldn't get her something silver if she only likes to wear gold.

Personally I don't really like the style of that bracelet, but I don't really know your gf's taste, she might love it. One thing to think of when choosing the style is does she normally wear "chunky" bracelets, or something more simple/streamlined. I know some girls don't like wearing something too heavy on their wrists, especially if they have small wrists.

If it were me... which it's not, I'd buy one of those big chunky plastic Zar Zar Gabor styled emerald rings you get at toy stores and put that into a fancy blue velvet box.

It's the thought that counts - eg: small and cheap =)

She wears nothing but silver, unless it's very subtle two-tone. So the all silver will be fine
My girl has smaller wrists but she doesn't mind having bulky things - she wears a watch 100% of the time so is used to the weight.

Hehe, I have heard the blue box is quite sought after? It's probably the most 'interesting' bracelet I could find which didn't have giant "Return to Tiffany & Co" plastered all over it while not being simply plain.

Well, I unfortunately made the mistake of setting precedent about a month or two into the relationship with a white gold and diamond ring. So have had to move up from there lol.

That being said I agree, go with Tiffany's - no girl turns it down.

However you are taking a chance with not showing her because jewellery is totally a matter of taste. I really hope you knwo what she likes because even if you get it wrong I doubt she'll have the heart to tell you she doesn't like it.

If you intend not to go with tiffany's the only good reason not to go with them is because you are getting a diamond bracelet (eg tennis bracelet) as tiffany's diamonds are way,way,way overpriced.

Not a fan of silver myself, white gold on the other hand wont tarnish, but lets face it, your going to pay for that :P
