Default So we swang past 1 Infinite Loop the other day....

Last week we got back from a 3 week trip to the US.

On our last day in San Francisco, we caught the train down to Cupertino. This involves catching a light rail to the stop where the Caltrain runs. Add one hour on the Caltrain, catch the 55 bus from Sunnyvale Station and you are in the heart of Apple Headquarters.

Now there really isn't too much to do at 1 Infinite Loop unless you have been invited so absorbing the atmosphere and the history and importance of this location is the first thing to do!

Afterwards, you can visit The Company Store which is the only Apple store that sells Apple branded merchandise.

We picked up a couple of shirts, a hat and some pens for gifts. It also didn't help that we didn't have much room for additional luggage given all the other stuff we bought during our holiday.

This is the front entrance to the building. You can see the huge poster for the new iPod Nanos. We did go inside to use the bathroom!

This is a bit stalkish but it looks like Jon Ive was in this morning (about 11am)

and so was Steve Jobs. The disabled parking wasn't being utilised this morning.

Everywhere you walked there were different Apple coloured logos for each of their buildings. My wife wanted a photo with the purple Apple sign. I found out this week that this is where Guy Kawasaki worked when he was at Apple.

It's a very cool and surreal place to visit isn't it... Myself the the SO were there in August, we rented a car and took a drive down there, visited Apple, Cisco and Google.. Nothing to do at any of them other than get photos in front of the sign's, but very cool still!

Why did the cars have no licence plates? Was this something common in that car park?

Yeah Steve's car had no number plate on it front or back. Jon's Aston has one but I just blurred it.

haha... this is the stuff that internet myths are made from. Google "Steve Jobs license plates" and see what pops up.

The generally accepted viewpoint is he keeps the plates in the trunk, because they used to get stolen a lot, and shows them when needed. Personally, I think he just cops the fine each time and has his PA pay it.

Was there security in the car park? You should have hung around and bowed down before Steve!
