    Default Favourite Album

I was driving home tonight, and had the iPod cranked up in the car stereo and my favourite album popped up.

    Transformer - Lou Reed

If you could only take one album with you on a deserted island, which one would it be? Lou's mine....

(Looked for a Favourite Album thread - there was only a locked one from years ago)

Had an old taped copy until I found a cd on ebay a couple years ago

He is Legend - I Am Hollywood

Does it have to be only one album? I'd get bored even if I love the music.

Some great albums mentioned already. But for me, its no contest. Here is my vote for most original album of all time.

Even better that its a record none of you would have heard before.

    Can't have just the one.

    Either:

    (1) Pink Floyd - Meddle

    (2) Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon

    or

    (3) Eric Clapton - Unplugged

'This Town Ain't Big Enough for the Both of Us' is a classic track, but I prefer 'No. 1 Song in Heaven'.

A terrible choice to make... would depend on what the company is allowed to bring

    Snow Patrol - Final Straw

    Radiohead - Kid A

    Pet Shop Boys - Actually

    DJ Shadow - Endtroducing

excluding compilation albums, it's gotta be between these:

    1. The Cult - Sonic Temple (Fire Woman oh yeah!)

    2. Metallica - Black (absolute masterpiece)

    3. Nine Inch Nails - Pretty Hate Machine (so far ahead of its time that it still sounds new!)

so difficult to decide on one ahhh.... ok, Sonic Temple wins!

Guys, which part of "favourite album" don't you understand? Singular? There's no 's' on the world 'album'.

Pick one, stick to it, this is a "best of the best of the best, right now" question, not a "here's my top three/four/five".

(and I thought Mac users were meant to be intelligent )

Not possible to have one favourite album, but that's not the question. I would take AIR's Moon Safari. I'm going to cheat a little and make it the 10th anniversary edition, so that I've got a few more tracks to listen to and a DVD to watch.

    From my site, Album-Art.net:
