    ^^ AVR chips are heaps of fun. We've had to use them in uni projects. For 8MHz chips they can do a lot!

    Yup.

    I'm actually "switching" from doing PIC development using the 18F series devices. Mostly this is because I'm sick of building all the supporting hardware and the Arduino has a great community.

    I suspect I'll have to get a Mega soon. Some of my project ideas will probably not fit into the Uno's available memory.

    Yes. All Kato turnouts have an internal solenoid. A short DC pulse is all it takes to switch them over.

    The switches will actually be run by integrated DCC decoders. Those are not standard, you have to install them yourself but there is plenty of room inside.

    Bought a negative and slide scanner from Aldi. $69 and works a treat. Pity the output is only 5MP, but really, the quality of my negs isnt worth more :-/

    well as my PS3 got the YLOD we got a replacement from Hadley Normals

    they have a really good deal atm
    $485 with GT5 I don't get the game till Chrissy as the Mrs is using that as my gift ( quite frustrating )


    more home brew stuff + a couple of commercial beers trying to get ready for Chrissy / New Years to go with the 120 long neck bottles I got of eBay











    why don't they do more 1L cans of beer



    I also have finally got my .357 magnum what a pain in the arse to get that one....
