Had 12 trees fall over on my property about 2 months ago. Biggest one is around 30 metres long and ~4.5" diameter.

Grabbed a Husqvarna 395XP with 24" and 18" bars to tackle the clean up operation. It's much more massive than I thought it would be. That is a 4L oil bottle in the picture to give it a sense of scale.

    Something about Jimby.

It's not a bad printer. Did a couple of test prints today and it appears to handle a range of printing tasks admirably. Didn't realize it did double sided printing too so that was a nice plus

On a side note: what's with every peripheral out there adding "apps" as part of their functionality? If I want to check the weather, I'll use my phone or Mac. Just seems like extra useless fluff to me…

yeah - true about the apps.
There is a facebook one - which would be good for my inlaws. I always have to save images and give them usb sticks for them to take to big W to print. With a printer like this - my life would be so much easier. lol
air-print is good too - mrs made me upgrade our atv gen 1 to a gen 2 for air-play. When she learned about air-print I had to get a new printer for that too.

No new air-anything ideas in iOS please, I can't afford to keep updating tech for my demanding mrs ! lol

    LOL!

I must admit, Airplay is pretty cool
I thought it was a bit gimmicky when I first heard about it, but I tried it out yesterday from my iPhone and it is pretty awesome. Now my missus is complaining that her iPhone doesn’t have Airplay (Might have to check if she has the latest iOS4 update, or is Airplay only part of iOS5?)

Regarding AirPrint - We didn’t really need Airprint but because I needed a new printer anyway, I figured I’d get one with AirPrint from the get go. Finding it pretty handy already.

I wish that a printer connected to an Airport Extreme could be used as an AirPrint printer. I can print to it from any networked computer, but not my iPad. Not a big concern, but it'd be nice :P
Surely all it would take would be a firmware update to the Extreme.

Hi mate, search for an application called AirPrint Hacktivator and you will be able to make your printer attached to your Airport Extreme "AirPrint" compatible

    Thanks!
I looked it up, it looks like my Mac would need to be running in order for the printer to be shared, is that the case?

Samsung BD-HDD 8500. I was thinking of a mac mini for media, but this does nearly everything I wanted.
With TVMOBiLi on the macbook, it can easily access all my movies, photos & music via wifi.
Samsung doesn't usually want to play with macs this nicely. & you have to love Hardly Normals flexible prices.

    On-topic:
Not really a purchase, but my grandfather built me a custom rack on which to mount my LaCie d2 drives because LaCie charge a ridiculous amount for their OEM one.

    EDIT: pictures!

Is this special still on? That is fricken cheap. Saves me from having to buy new batteries. Do you mind me asking how much the charger for this thing cost?
