    Question Problems with copied dvd's

    Hi ALL
I recently started helping a friend of mine with putting up movies onto to youtube. he copies all his work onto a PC. he will send me dvd's (home made and original) but they will not work on my macbook. they work on a pc and stand alone player. these are dvd video files - vob.

I have downloaded VLC player and still nothing as the dvd spins around and ejects within 30-45 seconds. It will play store bought dvd's but not homemade one's.

Macbook (black) 2ghz, 2gig ram and 250 hdd

Please help as all the is done in iMovie.

    Many thanks

Check the type of DVD used. I have previously encountered problems with DVD+R and macs because the drive is not compatible. You shouldn't any problems if they are DVD-R's. Hope that helps.
