Yep, I use Aperture for my Nikon often. Use the "Tether" function - works perfectly

From the CD's that came with the camera, install DPP and EOS Capture. Free with your dSLR

Aperture tethering is flakey with Canon cameras. It will work with a 20D or earlier but not 30D or 40D. Should work with a 300D or 350D though.

Not sure if Lightroom supports it. In any case the utilities Canon includes with their cameras is perfectly sufficient (if you want to complain about disrupting aperture/lightroon workflow then just treat the computer like a big fat CF card and import the captures after you've finished tethering.)
