Default Start up Manager & Option Key

    HI Guys,

On starting up OSX.5.6 using the option Key I don't get start up manager appearing so cannot choose my external firewire drive to boot from. I can select it using start up preferences so all seems OK with the external drive.

Any solutions to get the start up manager to appear using option key???

I have shut down, tried different USB keyboard connections, disconnecting other USB devices but still nothing working.

Computer is MAC intel, 2.4 GHZ, Leopard X.5.6, 2 GB RAM.

    Any suggestions welcome.

    Thanks.

    You have a white iMac?

You MUST use the white iMac keyboard that came with it to get it to work.
