Default Loud unibody macbook/pro trackpad click... solution!

So I've been travelling around europe and staying mainly in hostels. One problem... my new macbook has a REALLY loud trackpad click. The other problem is that I am too considerate and when it gets quiet... the click is just too loud. I looked and found a simple solution!

macosxhints.com - Reduce loud trackpad click on Unibody portables

Basically, take out the battery and you can see the trackpad mechanism. there is a screw there... screw it clockwise a bit and it softens the click quite considerably. Check the link anyway.

Great hint. This has been an issue for me as well.

havent say i have had anyone complain about it, but its good to know that the trackpad is held by screws that can be tightened on demand.
