    Default iDVD Aspect Ratio Issue

Since my new MacBook didn't come with Firewire, I have to capture video from my 4:3 camcorder on to my PC using the Video import wizard on my Vista machine, I then copy it across to my Mac.

When I view this video using Quicktime, it displays in the correct 4:3 ratio. However, when I import it into iDVD it incorrectly displays as 16:9. I have tried playing with all the options (i.e. switching between 16:9 and 4:3) but nothing seems to work.

Content that I have previously captured using Sonic on an old XP machine works perfectly.

Any ideas? When I get some time I am going to try to capture the video using Vista Movie Maker to see if this fixes things. Life would be much easier if I had firewire on my MacBook. I am still not sure why I wasn't about to get firewire on my $2,100 Macbook when I could get it on a $700 Dell Laptop.

Just in case anyone else has this issue. Everything worked fine when I captured the video with Movie Maker.
