Default In Melbourne? go home early!

Apparent big storms are coming. The Age says go home early lest you not be able to get home at all.

Leave work early, urges SES, as city battens down for big blow

We've been told we can leave at 3.30 (yes! In your face!).

    Awesome!

Yeah well no early out for me. It's pretty pleasant around southbank right now. Let's see if i can smash the car driving home through albert park (my usual route)

Was supposed to head into the city but rescheduled after hearing this - but it seems pretty damn quiet and pleasant in St Kilda now too.

Possibly. I can see the flags outside "Jeffs Shed" from my window and they're blowing normally, but it seems quite nice outside...

I'm heading to St Kilda. Let's see how bad it is en route

NB: I'm a stickler for these things - "Jeff" as in Kennett.

Well it's certainly gusty out where I am near Ringwood. We are surrounded by gum trees including one that looms over the house.
Always a worry in weather like this. Landlord want to take it down but because it's a native council wont let him with out a permit which costs heaps. Don't get me wrong, excellent landlord, but I wish that particular tree wasn't there in weather like this

Starting to feel the bayside gusts now - looking at the BOM radar, I would hate to be in Geelong right now!

When storms are hail or sleet though they don't have to contain as much water to do damage.
