    Default MBP flickering screen

My MBP's screen just started flickering today. Hard reset, reset PRAM, no dice.

Is it related to the faulty NVIDIA 8600 graphics chips? I got it refurb from the online Apple store a month ago.

I've booked in at local Chadstone genius bar tomorrow but what can they do exactly? Replace Logic board? Swap out the graphics chip? I hear that all the NVIDIA chips were faulty. So will the problem keep recurring?

How long does the repair usually take? Anybody else went in for this problem? How long did they hold your machine for?

I'm just not having any luck with my laptops lately. The Hard drive died on my white macbook earlier in the week.

Iím no expert on the MBP but when video plays up on my Power Macs I would check the cable connection.
Maybe something is loose and needs checking for a loose fit from the upgrade?

Hopefully it is just a loose cable inside the machine. I'm not game to open it up though.

Will see what the Genius at the Apple store has to say.
