    Default Macbook 'Mail' Problems

    Hi there,

I'm still finding my way around my new macbook, loving everything about it so far except for 'mail' over the last couple of days.
I'm using the default 'mail' for my hotmail account and even though it's been working fine for the last few weeks, yesterday and today, whenever I check my emails, all my old, deleted emails re-appear in my inbox as unread. Some of these emails are from back in August. I've tried deleting them all from my inbox and trash twice but each time I open mail (even without clicking 'get mail') they come back.

Any ideas on how to fix this/has this happened to anyone else?

    Cheers

this is one solution - not sure as I've never tried it with a HOTMAIL account...

    go to mail.

    preferences

    accounts

    go to the 'advanced' TAB

    there's a tickbox that says
'remove copy from server after retrieving a message'
    then an option box.

    see if that helps.

what this'll do though, is delete the messages from HOTMAIL (or it SHOULD!), however this means that they won't be ONLINE anymore.

I didn't know hotmail worked with mail.
