    Default 6.93gb of "Other"?! what happened?

    Hey guys,

    just wondering if this has happened to anybody.

    I was using itunes 8 quite happily, no bugs at all. But all of a sudden i plug in my iphone, and its listing me as having 6.93 gb of "Other" and nothing else on my phone.... I did have 6.93gb of stuff originally, whats happened to it all!!

    Corrupted music appears as data, which is i guess whats happened is a little bug or something. I believe a restore is in order.

    I had something similar happen briefly but unplugging it and plugging it in 'fixed' it, cant be sure if it's the same issue, might just have been a glitch for me.

    Ahhh *boo* restore! Il loose all my contacts then wont i?

    Il be better for 2.1 to finish downloading yeh? Its taking ages for me

    Do people not sync their contacts with their address book?

    Even with my crappy Nokia 6120classic, I still use iSync to sync my address book.

    I ended up restoring my iPhone, it all dissappeared after that. I was lucky cause my contacts are backed up on my MobileMe

    same here hey. farken started clogging up with "other" data so i restored and it all dissapeared!
    An Apple a day goes a long long way!!!
