    Lightbulb Mactalk Iphone App..

I've been thinking and I reckon,

Why don't we get some keen Mactalk members to get together, put their heads down and create an app for the iphone/ipod touch which allows users to interact with Mactalk.com.au?

We would need some admin permission to do so but I will take care of that!

Discuss your thoughts and suggestions below!

*Edit* I have provided a link to the Iphone Developers Page.

There's already an mobile/iPhone compatible version of MacTalk - go to the bottom left hand corner and in the drop down menu that current reads "--MacTalk 4", select "--iPhone".

If you want it on your springboard, simply add use the bookmark tool in Safari to add it to your homepage and voila - a MacTalk iPhone app.

[EDIT] Or as below, use mactalk.mobi.

Ooo! I thought that was just a skin for the forum! I didn't like it on my MB, but will have to check it out on my iPhone now!

I like the IM bit... maybe make it communicate with the IRC.
I can visualise it now.. Make it run on smaller XML files, with the ability to turn off images, then one would never use too much bandwidth.

This could turn out to be something awesome... it has potential.

that's a shame I liked the MaQTalk logo… it seemed like a cross between MacTalk and iChat… which is kinda what MacTalk is.

iPhone app? just improve the iPhone optimised version of the forums and it shouldn't be too bad.

Also, Me and philly don't have macs so we can't use the free SDK. So if anyone here wants to code it? I'll provide the images as I am experienced and do have Photoshop CS3 Extended

It might be best to put together a list of members who are volunteering their time and skills and what they will be doing.

It will appear at the top as we get people.

    Keep the ideas flowing!

MacTalk app on the app store that did a few things and gave you direct links to the forum and podcasts etc... would give this site great exposure.

I'll happily work on interface elements for this if it ever comes to fruition.. I've already made many interface elements and iphone icons before.

Rubania: Once the new site launches, I'll give people a custom .css file to replace the logo with the maQtalk one It's easy as pie to apply in Safari.

    In the meantime:
