Default Help needed on a particular keyboard shortcut

I keep my dock empty, just 2 or 3 apps at the most, and I usually click on [command} + [spacebar] (to bring up spotlight) and type the name of the program Im looking for.

But I have no idea what happened to my iMac that now the shortcut is no longer working.

So, if anybody here does, please help a fellow Macker out.

    Thanks!

If you like that method of launching applications, I would recommend you install Quicksilver. Trigger it with (say Ctrl+Space), then just start typing the name of the application, or the URL, or the document, press enter, and it will open.

Sorry - I don't know how to restore your -space shortcut for Spotlight.

System Prefs > Keyboard & Mouse > Keyboard Shortcuts

Find whatever is using that shortcut and remove it. Restore spotlight to use cmd+space
