Default Files keep returning to trash

    Hi there

Here is a strange item I have occuring with my Macbook. I deleted some files off an external hard disk. They were sitting in my trash but I can't get rid of them, empty trash doesn't work. When I try get info on the files, they disappear, but every time I plug in my external again they reappear?

Anyone experienced this before or know how to get rid of it?

run Disk utility and verify your disk.. Looks like you are having problems with your hard drive.

Tried that. The verify disk thing solved the problem in the end.
