Default Running windows from external boot disk.

My brain is fried and I'm having trouble thinking this one through. A friend of mine just got an intel macbook pro and I thought that I may be able to somehow use it to run a Windows app that I need.

But I don't want to put my junk on his computer so I was wondering if it is somehow possible to me to get a small external drive and boot from that.

Do I need to first install OSX on the external then use Bootcamp to create another partition for Windows. Is this the right way to go about this?

Use something like Vmware Fusion or Parallels, that should work from an external drive.

There are ways to install Windows on a USB drive, such as the one outlined here:

Googling a bit will find other methods too.

    Try both :P

I think you'll find one is better than the other
