Question g5 1.8 single fan monitors?

    Hi there,

I'm trying to monitor a single processor 1.8 G5 remotely running OS X Server 10.4.11. I've installed iStat menus 1.2 AND iStat pro 4.2. The app is wonderful. Unfortunately, it doesn't recognize any fan sensors on this machine. Is there a possibility that something in an update disabled this? Are any old versions available? I looked, but couldn't find anything.

I only ask because I installed a demo of hardware monitor, and it says that unlocking the app will show the front fan, rear fan 0 and 1, drive bay fan and the slots fan. I'd tend to guess that if they can find the sensors, they should be available.

BTW, Works like a charm on my dual core 2.0 running leopard!

    TIA,
    bob

    Hi Bob,
Chances are we simply haven't added support for that model.
Open up terminal.app and run the following command - "ioreg -l > ~/ioreg.txt"
That will create a file called ioreg.txt in your home folder. Please email that file to <removed>and ill have a look at getting the model supported

It's done. Let me know what else I can do.

    Thanks!
