Default LG Prada, iphone also ran...

Some dude in a Telstra shop was telling me today abou this fantastic new LG phone that was going to make the iphone redundant, Hmmmmm, so I had a look,

Falls way short in my book.

    Any comments?

that says it all - they wouldn't have a clue...!

whilst the Prada phone looks very appealing, it the GUI of the iPhone that will set it apart from any other wannabe, and Prada are good at designing clothes, but software and user interface is quite a different ball game.

At least its available ;-) Which will be a selling point by the Telstra dudes. The news services will definitely have a piece on the iPhone when its released on the 29th (30th for us), and people will ask the question when they can get one.

"Well you can't sir, but we have this Prada phone here which is just as good......."

Whilst I am somewhat conned by the idea of having a Prada phone, I'm still going to hang out for my iPhone.

Just don't try to buy a new battery for an LG phone from Telstra after 18 months... you can't do it. LG Phones blow very big chucks.

Why are you buying a new battery from Telstra? I'd be getting in touch with LG.

the phone looks nice ... but LG make horrible phones, and i really can't see this being any better ... yes it looks similar to the iPhone, but apple's strength is the hardware + software package ...
    righto then

As a 'just another phone', it would almost look good except for the 'just another phone' buttons down the bottom of the floorless liquid design. IMO it's a tragic novelty phone for show pony's.

I agree LG phones are crap. However, LG made lots of good products imo. And Korean products are better then those from China.

LG Samsung LCD and plasma are good.

If they need to do a cross-promo with an overpriced fashion company (all made in China incidentally), then the phone is not good enough to make it on its own merits.
