    Gasp... Are you implying they are only now catching up to the PowerPC chips.


    Actually I have to admit, in terms of subjective speed there's not much difference between my new Core2Duo and my old Rev A G5 2x2.0 from 3.5 years ago. I can tell the Core2duo is a bit faster at some stuff but not by much. On the other hand with my usage patterns I could definately spot the difference between my G5 and a generic 3Ghz Pentium 4.

    The G5 was one hell of a chip. Pity it needed a small power station to run it.
