I've recently got kde running and the closest i can get ot opening an application that runs in x11,
is with this script.

Code:
set X11APP to "/sw/bin/umbrello"

tell application "Finder"
launch application "X11"
end tell
set results to do shell script "cd ~; DISPLAY=:0.0; export DISPLAY; PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/bin; export PATH;" & X11APP & " > /dev/null 2>&1 &"

But What i'm asking is if i can get it to open an application and it appear in the dock and stay there while its running.

This line in my .profile allows me to open X11 apps from Terminal.app.
Code:
export DISPLAY=":0.0"
and quick and dirty way to stop the xterm window from appearing was to
Code:
sudo chmod 000 /usr/X11R6/bin/xterm
is the xterm window usefull for anything ?
