    Default No Booting Issue

    I have a MB Pro running 10.8.
    I just did an iTunes update, did a CleanMyMac 3 cleanup and was running a Malware check when the app kept hanging part way through.

    I forced shut-down to get out of the app and now I only get the blank log-in screen with a spinning ball.

    Is there a way I can get around this or will I need a complete re-build?

    Try creating a bootable OSX External Hard Drive to then run on your Mac, you can then run disk utility and run the repair on it. Otherwise you can boot the Mac into safe mode or recovery with using the key combos here:
