Default Rumors are that Apples Pad event is going to be on October 14

Heard Yosemite is going to be released the same day as well.

Be interesting to see what Air 2 brings. Just bought a 128GB Air as other than Touch ID, bump to A8 won't benefit me much at all.

5s to 6 hardware wise wasn't a huge leap, so I'm expecting Air 1 to 2 to be similar.

This a new device, this Pad?

Touch ID is a must. I wish the Macbook Pros already had it.

Better processor, better camera, bigger size maybe. And gold option.

Not sure what else they can do?

Hopefully "better camera" means they include a flash!

Touch ID is worth it alone for me I keep forgetting on my Air and wonder why its not unlocking ! A 16:9 Screen display would be nice too !

Well they could soup up the A8 a fair bit. Just because they can. Clock it up, add a couple of cores, more RAM.
design wise they might add a 12 inch iPad. Just to lock all screen sizes in.

they might even add iPad only productivity features.

    Lightbulb

As is Normal for me I was bouncing around the web earlier today and thought I might check the refurb clearance store as I usually do. so hit the link on the bottom of the AU apple site and as usual it pushes me over to the US site. had a quick browse and low and behold I see this

there is at least one unit on the "refurb/clearance" store for each variant of the Current Mac Pro. I've only seen this happen once before and that was in the days following the announcement of the current gen Mac Pro.

this then Triggered me to do some writing... read on for the Results

Here's my Guide to what we can expect for tomorrow morning's Event.

    iOS 8.1
probably a bit of noise regarding the new features of Health Kit and the new Products being launched during this event. there will also likely be another Demo of 8.1 interacting with Yosemite using the back to the mac features. As in previous years expect the full Public Release of iOS 8.1 with in a fortnight of the event.

    OS X 10.10 Yosemite
there is likely to be little we already haven't heard about Yosemite in terms of new features. they may or may not announce availability at this event however it is quite possible given the surprise they had in store with the last event. I would however expect that we will see a more public Clarification of hardware Compatibility soon though.

    Mac Pro
lets be honest, the Mac Pro is overdue for a spec bump to the spec level of the Mac Pro Range. (Haswell-EP/C220 Chipset) It would seem that perhaps tomorrow we will see a refresh. Given the e5/e7 Xeon v3's which have been out in the wild in the more common variants for about a month and a half now. there might also be (and I'm hoping for this personally) a new option on the GPU front, namely refreshed Maxwell GPU's available at least as an option but I'm not holding my breath.

    iPad Air/iPad Mini 3
As the astute observer will have noticed in the news over the last few days, the Blunder Apple made with it's website on Wednesday. prematurely revealing the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 one or other of the models are gaining Touch ID bringing them inline with the iPhone 5S,6 and 6 Plus. expect to see also the A8X chip and generational incremental performance gains as we've grown used to seeing from Apple in their keynotes

Wednesday's Leak has seen Apple prematurely illustrating the iPad Mini 3 and showing details of the new iPad Air 2's features (link).

    iMac
as we know the iMac lineup is likely getting a freshen up (expect refreshed Haswell-E chips & Maxwell GPUs) and also likely is availability of larger 4,5or 6 TB drives as options. (die DDR3L?)

    MacBook, MacBook Pro & Air
There has been much speculation on this front with some rumours suggesting an all new 12" MacBook is imminent and other reports of that same model actually being a new MacBook Air or Pro Variant. Time will tell what wonders Apple has in Store for us here. but we can easily expect at a minimum that we see the refreshed mobile Haswell Silicon and the recently refreshed Maxwell GPU's from Nvidia in the higher end models. Again these models it would be reasonable to expect would be shipping from day one with Yosemite as the Default OS.

    iTouch
new model pending perhaps? it's getting on about that time for a refresh. Possible iWatch compatibility?

In summation: Spec Bumps, lots of them. New iPads and iOS 8.1, possibly a date for Yosemite.
EDIT: Retina, All of the Product Lines.
EDIT 2: removed Kepler references and replaced with Maxwell, spelling grammar etc corrections; addition of iTouch section

that's all I can think of for this minute, I'm sure I'll be editing this post again soon

    New iPod Touch???

Whats going to happen to the iPad Lineup? Is the iPad 4 going to remain the budget model? Methinks there is too little differentiation between the Air and rumoured Air 2 for the Air to be the baseline. What about the Minis? The Mini 1 is getting on, but if the Mini only gets a slight spec bump, what will the baseline Mini become?

Secretly I hope they keep at least 1 A5 device, so they are forced to support it with iOS 9. Considering they are selling the iPod Touch 5 now, I would assume its getting iOS 9, as by the time its announced/released in June/September of 2015 it will still have been sold less than a year ago as the flagship touch model.

Posting on a public forum is everything but secret. At some point you're iPad 2 is going to stop receiving updates and personally I think iOS 8 will be the last.

I'm looking forward to the new iPad Mini, with a bit of luck they won't change the shape dramatically meaning it'll still fit my kneeboard case for flying and by the looks of that leaked user guide I don't think any physical changes are in order. Will there be anything wowing about it? I doubt it.

I know it will At the moment though its got 29% of the market share and the Mini 1 has 20% and the iPad 3 has 13%... Thats a large number of iPad users on A5 devices :P

Maybe iOS 9 will go towards reducing requirements and be less stressful on the hardware. I can't see them dropping support for the iPad 2, till the 4S, Touch 5, Mini 1 and iPad 3 are going to get dropped, and that is a large large large number of people to leave unsupported.

Theres no point in dropping hardware support for the sake of dropping hardware support.

Well Yosemite is running beautifully for me so I'm excited for that!! . I love the new design, performance has improved in some areas, and its not nearly as glitchy as Mavericks was for me.
