    Default iTunes and external speakers

I have a Phillips DS8400 portable speaker with bluetooth and like to play my my tunes through them (great sound) however I can't find a way for only the itunes audio to use it and all other audio to go through the internal speakers. For example play music through the Phillips bt speakers however the sound from kids watching a movie on the mac to go through the internal speakers.

Not sure you can do that.

Instead of Bluetooth you'd have to be looking at some kind of AirPlay instead.

With AirPlay, you can select where iTunes will send it's output (audio and video).

However, that'll need your kids not to be using iTunes to watch a movie so it depends on what you're actually doing.

You may also have some success with using something like an Apple TV connected to a TV to play movies.
