    Default mac mini use with PC type wireless keyboard and mouse

    Hi does anyone know if one can use a PC type wireless keyboard and mouse with the Mac mini . I know you can use mac keyboards and also Bluetooth BUT i want to know if a PC type KB and Mouse is also possible.

    Indeed you can - it re-maps the Windows keys to the Command keys (though you can swap it around in the Keyboard control panel so that Alt maps to Command, and Windows maps to Option), If the keyboard has multimedia keys, the Mac will also map some of these to the same functions that they would have on an Apple keyboard. Volume controls, Play/Pause, and back/forward skip should all do the same as they do on an Apple keyboard.

    Thank you Dee. My old aged uncle has mac mini and he wanted to buy a cheap KB and Mouse (both wireless) from Officeworks. They sell very cheap Microsoft or Genius products.

    Also keep in mind you might find Officeworks sell a "mac version" of the same product, specifically Logitech.
