Default Powerpoint on mac - Embedding sound

I am have trouble with embedding sound into to Powerpoint presentation. I can set up the presentation that works fine on my macbook pro, however when i try to play the presentation on another computer I have no sound. I have tried saving as a movie and I get no sound in the movie.

I am told I need to embed the sound file into powerpoint file not just drag it in from iTunes. I don't seem to be able to achieve this. Can anyone help?

    Thanks

    Jeff

Had the exact same problem a while ago.

    Menu
Insert—Audio-file (I then choose the mp3 I want to insert)

This should then make a tab appear on the PowerPoint ribbon that reads 'Format audio' (second from left). Select audio options and choose 'Start' and 'Play across all slides'.

It should now work. All of this is designed to make you appreciate how easy it is to work with Keynote!
