I think that most of the major bases have been covered (Dexter, Breaking Bad, Walking Dead etc) but American Horror Story S1 was really good. A creepy horror plot line that had 12 hours to bubble slowly. Really good and super creepy. The opening credits alone were creepier than any TV show I have seen.

I can't bring myself to watch Elementary. I honestly don't think they could hold a candle to the BBC's modernisation, Sherlock.

I'm a lefty, but I thought it was painful drivel too. Lowest common denominator crap, with all the subtlety of a brick in the face.

But Americans do not understand subtlety... As a propaganda series to get the obama voters off their arse, sure why not. And anything that pisses off republicans can only be good. But thoughtful and provocative televisions? No....
