    Hey VJ's

    I've got a 3min 40sec video I'd like to embed into a webpage.

I've tried a few different export settings, but can't seem to get the file as small as i'd like but with decent quality.

I know i can use divx etc... but i'd like it to be able to play from quicktime, and to be a web standard. I'd hopefully like to get the video below 10 meg...

What settings can i use to get the best quality with the smallest filesize?

Try Cinepak at about medium compression.

But I would more highly recommend 3ivX with a link to download the codec next to the movie link. Much better results, much better compression.

[EDIT] I take that back Disko. Cinepak is shit Try exporting it as an MPEG-4 file - that should do the trick.

it also depends on how good the quality you want. and old QuickTime player you want to support.

If the quality is not that important, Sorenson is a good format.

Play with all the quicktime codecs till you get what you want. Might take a while, but hey, at least you get it the way you like it... I've gotten a 25 minute video down to seven megs at a decent compression level, so who knows.

Anyone seen that 15 minute animation they got down to 64Kbytes??? (NO JOKE)... mad... talk about compressing compression!
