Lots of similar diets around these days. As a diabetic I am always looking for ways to lose weight (I need to lose heaps but even maintaining rather than increasing is a good thing) and a couple of the forums I go to are doing this kind of thing. It wont just let you lose weight, it will also reduce the risk of metabolic syndrome/diabetes.
I've failed to go wheat free and potato free. Wheat free is best, potato free is good, but there are also good healing things about potatoes. I am on a ton of medication, and feel unwell most of the time because of it... potato (SMALL!!) seems to reduce that unwell feeling, so I'm not giving it up. I have added eggs back into my diet and choose poached eggs without toast, instead of cereal, most mornings. If I must have cereal, its porridge, not weetbix or any other highly processed stuff. bacon is good too, but I find it too salty so don't eat much.
Bulletproof coffee? Well I guess they had to make money somehow.
There are a truckload of books on Paleo diets on amazon and itunes... the kindle ebooks regularly come up as freebies and are worth a look.
