From the very moment Steve Jobs unveilved the 6th generation iPod nano and made a quip that “one of the members of our Board of Directors is going to use it as a watch”, accessory manufacturers rushed to create the straps that would deliver the fabled iWatch. Most of those straps aimed to create a casual or executive style watch, but today we’re looking at the Belkin WristFit, a nano wristband with a ...

Complete integration of your iPhone into your car is the future, but we're not all there yet. For those with older cars, cassette adapters are gone, FM transmitters are on their way out too and many people are left somewhere in the middle with only an aux socket as a basic way to free the music from their iPhone while driving. While an aux input is admirable, it does mean finding the cord each time you get in the car and keeping a separate Dock Connector car charger for topping up the power on longer trips.

Today we’re going to compare two similar solutions ...

Should you cross to Sandy Bridge? Yes, you should. In the early hours of Friday morning, after a painfully long stint of Apple Store down time and a few too many Safari refreshes, we were graced with the release of an all new line of MacBook Pros, featuring Intel's still-a-virgin Sandy Bridge architecture and a whole new connectivity standard called (unfortunately) 'Thunderbolt'. Lucky for us, a wanky new name does not a wanky new format make.

On the low end, the bump seems quite modest at first, seeing the long overdue switch to a modern Intel i5 processor (despite ...

Remember the days when as long as you charged your phone (let’s assume Nokia, RIP) for the weekend, it would see you through the week with style? The biggest trade off in our move to large touch screen smart phones is the daily grind of battery charging. Battery technology just hasn’t kept up with our greed for moar hertz, Angry Birds, YouTubes and our obsession with twitter. Maybe if you’re frugal with the juice you’ll make it through 2 days but the way I use my ...

I'll be honest — I'm not the kind of guy who has ever settled into a regular routine of cleaning my apartment. I don't have a schedule where I wake up sprightly on a Sunday morning and declare, "Hooray! It's time to go clean!" and skip off down the hallway brandishing a Chux in one hand and a bottle of Spray + Wipe in the other.

In fact, if the apartment was dirty, I would much rather change my own behaviour to suit, rather than clean the place. Grungy floors? That's ok, I'll just wear shoes all the time. No uncluttered surface to rest a cereal bowl on? No problem, I'll just pop it right here, by the letterbox. Rubbish bin full? Why, there's a perfectly good shopping bag right here, I'll just start a second rubbish bin by the first one!

This changed though, when I moved into our new place last year. Why exactly did it change? Brace yourself people; this is not pretty.

It has a White. Tiled. Floor. ...

When I reviewed the MacLove Titan for iPad a few months back, I’d done a little bit of research into iPad stands, but one that hadn’t shown up on my radar was the Luxa2 H4 iPad Holder. On paper, the H4 promised to fix my two main gripes with the Titan: the crappy rotation mechanism and the thin (and therefore wobbly) base. ...

Yes sort of. I use the term developed loosely as it is just an RSS reader that I made with AppMakr and then opened a developer account to post it to iTunes.

In my small town, I’m basically known as “the computer guy”. Therefore, if it involves some sort of technology, I’m the go-to-guy for a lot of people.
