CES has now been in full swing for a few days now, and one of the cooler things to come out of the Consumer Electronics Show is the Parrot AR.Drone 2.0, complete with a redesigned drone, 720p video, and autonomous video recording. Engadget go hands on.

We're also seeing a plethora of Thunderbolt-compatible storage devices at CES, with options from LaCie, OCZ, and even Elgato, a company better ...

Oh good, DigiTimes is at it again. This time they're saying an iPad 4 might be launched in October with the iPad 3 as an "interim" upgrade, but I feel like we've been here with the iPhone just last year... Evidently they've got a taste of the Apple Rumour Sphere and want a slice of that pie, so they're, to quote MacRumors, "throwing ideas at the wall to see what might stick". At least it makes for entertaining ...

What better way to start your Monday than with a few predictions from the best in the Apple blogosphere? Macworld has assembled the few genii who know what they're talking about in order to gaze into their crystal ball and see what's in store for Apple in 2012.

IAds haven't quite worked out as well as Apple had initially expected, but that might all change with the hiring of former Adobe exec Todd Teresi, who will ...

If Sir Jonathan has a 50-inch HDTV in his studio, does this mean that Apple are working on a television set that will be the one thing we've always wanted without realising it? I'm not sure about the latter, but AppleInsider says the former is pretty spot on — now, if only Apple could seal the deal with those content companies, we would have the television set of our dreams.

    Apple are cracking ...

Apple are planning some kind of media event at the end of January, but we probably won't see any significant product announcements. In fact, all signs point to an announcement about the iBooks platform — or at least about publishing — let's just hope it won't be as much of a flop as The Daily was.

There have been so many things coming out of Digitimes it's hard to tell fact from fiction these ...

As it turns out, Italy has consumer laws that guarantee a two-year warranty period for consumer purchases — including Apple products. That's apparently why Apple has been fined $1.2 million — a few hundred thousand for breaking Italian consumer law by only offerring a standard one-year warranty period on their products, and another few hundred thousand for misleading consumers to think they needed AppleCare ...

Welcome to perhaps one of the more relaxed weeks of news you'll see on MacTalk. I think my brain is still in semi-holiday mode, so you'll excuse the lateness, informality, and whatever else I decide to whip up while I get back into the groove. On with the news...

I guess it would be remiss of me to not point out a few of the wrap-ups of 2011, so that's mostly ...

Fifteen years and three days ago, Apple announced it was going to purchase a little company called NeXT. Fifteen years on, we can still find references to the humble beginnings of OS X, NeXTSTEP, in Apple's latest and greatest OS.

GigaOM says the Apple App Store is making pretty huge inroads in China. Growth has been steady, and analysts are predicting that app sales will only continue to rise as time ...

We're winding down the daily news for a week or so (starting next week) here on MacTalk, so if you experience any weirdness, please don't adjust your TV set! Nothing is wrong, I promise. On with the news...

Apple has managed to squeeze in one last build of 10.7.3 for developers before Christmas really begins. Build 11D36 is just three build versions above ...

Yes sort of. I use the term developed loosely as it is just an RSS reader that I made with AppMakr and then opened a developer account to post it to iTunes.
