Recently, I trawled the internet and downloaded a bunch of arcade game emulators solely so I could play an arcade game I played a single time about ten years ago. Let me explain.I had felt at the time (I was 12), the difficulty was set far too high in-game, and the machine robbed me of the one buck I put into it by beating me mercilessly without giving me a chance to ease into the game. I never forgot that game, and at the time vowed my revenge. I would beat that game, I said to myself, beat it the whole way through and see the ending, even if it costed me a thousand bucks. Tragically, that specific game was at a Timezone that disappeared before I got another shot at it. I never saw that particular machine again anywhere.Getting back to the present, it took me absolutely forever to find the particular game, as it was rare, and even longer to find the software to run it. I finally got everything I needed, and booted it up on my iMac.The game proceeded to beat me like a naughty step-child on the very first level for the next half hour. There are no difficulty settings to adjust, I can't make it any easier (contrary to what I thought). Now I'm writing on here, contemplating uninstalling the game.Does this accurately summarize me as a person? I fear it does.
