My 2007 20" Apple Cinema Display has served me well for the last couple of years, and I am quite attached to it. It has seen Japan, the United States, and Australia and performed like a true champ. I'm getting ready to move back to Tokyo, and I've noticed that I have some image persistence along the task bar area, and at first it didn't seem that bad, but it's creeping in such a away that it looks almost like a physical water stain. I've been running a couple of different LCD scrubbers, but as I do more and more research, I have come across pictures of "delamination" which look like what I am dealing with.

How can I tell, and is it time to just bite the bullet and buy a new monitor, or is there some way to fix this?

Need help mounting XFS partitions on Lacie NAS

The power supply for my Lacie Edmini NAS has almost certainly died, and so I've pulled out the 500GB drive and plugged it into an eternal enclosure. However, because of the way the partitions are set up, I'm having difficulty mounting the data partitions. According to Disk Utility, there are six partitions: three Linux ext2 partitions, and another three partitions that I think are formatted as XFS.

I've got another Linux-based NAS (Synology DS212) that I can plug the enclosure into, but it only mounts the three ext2 partitions. I can read from them, but they don't contain my data. However, I suspect that with a bit of command line magic, I might be able to mount the other three partitions.

Can anyone help?

Does anyone in the Melbourne area have a spare power supply that they could lend me for a few days so I can copy the data off the drive?

I have just picked up off ebay a 4 month old 2TB time capsule.

Its backing up fine and I am also wanting to use it to plug my TV and my new Foxtel HD box (when it gets installed) so that these devices can access the internet.

I have a wireless modem for my internet that my time capsule is connected to wirelessly and I am using a LAN cable to plug into my Panasonic TV.

Issue is that the tv is not connecting to the net as it cant acquire the IP address.

A couple of weeks back I used my mates Airport Express to test this and it works fine.

Any suggestions as to what my problem could be?
