      I’m in some dire need of storage because I've maxed out my old ‘07 Santa Rosa Macbook Pro, my old 120gb WD My Passport, my old 2 year old 1TB WD My Book studio and my other recent 1TB WD Essential HDD with my collection of medical related literature, music and photography/memories. The collection is still growing!

      As a uni student, I struggle to even pay for everyday basics including rent, food, internet etc, if I win this 2TB MyBook Studio it would be a godsend; allowing myself to use the money for everyday essentials instead!

      I need some new storage as I've recently moved in with my Dad to take care of him and as part of that I showed him the wonders of technology and all it has to offer. Now my NAS is nearly full with 50's music and eleven seasons of M*A*S*H*, let alone his attempts to document every family event. The My Book Studio would help me to keep my backups and general files somewhere else so he has more space to collect his memories and reminisce... once I teach him how to stream to the Apple TV that is

      With our growing collection of media files such as all those EyeTV recordings that we just can’t part with and the never ending collections of Top Gear and CSI Miami, our media collection keeps demanding more and more storage.

      Western Digital drives have always been the answer, time after time I’ll go to Dick Smith and buy whatever drive is available for around $100. Our media is split over 3 160gb Elements drives, a 320 My Passport and sharing my primary backup drive, a 750gb Elements drive.

      A 2tb My Book Studio would make life a lot easier.

      My photos, my videos. Scans of old slides. Digitization of old family VHS and Beta tapes. Copies of other family photos and videos, and when I get around to being adventurous, progressive scanning of old Super8 film.

      Oh, and a couple of GBs or so, for my eBooks.

      I'd like a 2TB drive to use as a time machine backup, I recently got an iMac with a 2TB drive and it would be great to have an external to use for time machine, especially one that looks as great and blends in as well with my apple gear!

      I am in dire need of more storage because I have collected too many zeros, see the ones are OK since they stack up pretty well, being more compact and all, but those big fat zero's are nothing but trouble.

      I’m in dire need of more storage because I’m in my final year of medical school and I need AT LEAST 2TB of storage for my most indispensable resources - Grey’s Anatomy and Scrubs. I’m also in dire need of more storage because I am a little OCD and keep EVERYTHING in my life digitally. 2TB of meticulously organised data would be an OCD’s DREAM!!! And it matches my Mac??? Oh wow.

      Assuming this is the place one enters this competition, the following is my entry:
      I'm in dire need of more storage because I live on my computer. I have limited work capacity due to several medical issues and despite applying for dozens of positions a week, get rejected based on these limitations. Without the means to purchase a solution like WD's My Book Studio 2TB, the only hope I have to reliably back up my data is to win a competition like this one. A sad but simple truth.

      I desperately need the Storage as I'm the extended family's free mac surgeon.. I'm always cloning machines before repair & upgrades & it's eating through my meager personal storage. 2 TB could provide partitioned Backups for about 6 machines simultaneousy (heaven ) Cheers & Thanks for the opportunity.       Well I need something that just works, just like my iMac. I chose poorly and purchased a LaCie 2tb drive which is now just a paperweight on my desk. A lovely WD would sit beautifully next to my iMac. *raises hand whilst jumping*…Pick me, pick me.

      i just sold my MBP with a 1TB on the forum, bought a MB Air from the forum with a 128GB SSD. Loving the air, but only just realising how small a 128GB HD is again! Pick me, I'm in dire need of storage space!!!

      I've currently got a Hard Drive hooked up to my Airport Extreme for use as a NAS. The hard drive is a bit dodgy though. It's inside an enclosure that used to be used for another drive, and which has been opened too many times. The drive is loose inside the enclosure, and I fear that picking it up the wrong way I might break something!I need a new external drive to replace this Frankenstein of a device!

      I am currently using an '06 macbook with a dead screen connected as a media server. The process of converting my DVDs to digital form has used up all the space on a 320 GB hard drive that i spent like $150 on many many years ago. It is time to replace my antiquated hardware with something new, shiny, reliable and awesome like a 2 TB WD My Book Studio!!!

      I am need because I have just bought a iMac 4.1 for the first time it has only 250 gb hardrive and don't know how to replace the hard drive.I have lots of music and videos that I like to save on my mac which I really love.I don't have a spare hard drive and would like to keep store the videos and music to give to my nieces and nephews.Please help.
