I might be Apples biggest fan as I have converted most of my family over in the past 5 years to apple and I have a big family! And I have just bought my 74 year old mum the new MacBook air and she loves it and her iPhone gets here this week :-) apart from that we are a sole Apple house! Our house has no windows! Lol

Apple tech (hardware and software) looks great, and Just Works(tm), so you know that when you are showing someone how great it is and say "Now watch this!" (famous last words when using certain other companies' offerings), everything will just work exactly as it says on the box. When coupled with some of the best retail outlets around and Apple's fantastic track record of providing you with the tech you need sometimes before you know you need it, you can't go wrong.

I've been using Apple Macs since primary school (2001), and have been an Apple fan since about 2006. Since then, I've purchased an iMac, MacBook Pro, AirPort Extreme & Express, iPod Nano, 3 iPod touches (1st, 2nd and 4th generation), lined up for the Doncaster Apple Store opening, converted at least 5 people that I can recall to the Mac (including my grandparents who until 2009, had never used the Internet!), advised numerous others on making decisions about purchasing a new Mac, iPad, iPod and iPhone, been a part of the MacTalk community since 2008, and I'll be getting an iPhone 5 the moment they land. I even made an Apple pencil holder in woodwork at school in 2009! I'd absolutely love to add an iPad 2 to my collection of Apple products. No less than 4 of my friends have purchased iPads at my recommendation, and I am highly envious. Sadly, I lack the funds right now to purchase one. I hope my entry to this competition wins Shaun_R

Can I nominate someone else, instead of myself? This person is a MASSIVE Apple fan, since discovering the wonders of Mac a few years ago. He's become the go-to guy in his community for all things Mac-related, and is a huge advocate of the company's products. He's started a User Group in his home town, and regularly visits people's houses to provide advice and assistance to them, either fixing problems or smoothing the transition from PC to Mac. If anyone deserves to be recognised, it's him. I know for a fact he doesn't have an iPad, considering himself too much of a "hardcore" Mac-head to be bothered with ephemera such as tablets and phones ... so winning this comp would not only recognise a truly massive Mac fan, but might be what he needs to see the light, too, and finally embrace the iPad thang!

PS I've been in a monogamac relationship since 1987.

Apple is just boss. I'm known around school as Steve Job's junior. If Apple is copping criticism (iPhone 4 antenna gate) i'm copping it non-stop. In a 2000 pupil school, I am the Apple IT guru. I even have teachers and senior staff coming to me for help! All worth it! ily apple <3

My first mac arrived in late 2007, a notebook that looked more sexy and sleek then anything I'd ever owned. It cost more then any computer I'd ever own but from the moment I heard that chime I was apples. Since then I've gotten two airport extremes, two mac mini's, an imac, iPhone, iPad, I've converted 12 people over to macs and I'm in love with everything they do. The best part of being an apple fan boy (besides defending apples decision for no flash on IOS devices) was the apple sticker on the back of my car. It's started two conversations with other apple people, made my friends and family groan and had a few people honk horns while driving past holding an iphone, an ipod and one fella even help up what I think was a macbook air. Heck I even refused to lose a bid on a tshirt from an apple store opening from Decryption which hangs proudly in my cupboard never warn! I'm new to being a fan of apple compared to some but my adoration of the design, build and philosophy can wrestle with the best of them (And argue admirably against those silly windows people)

I AM Apple's biggest fan! A late switcher from the Windows scene (2008) and I have never looked back. I pre-ordered a 1st gen iPad via Anthony from the USA, paying large premium for the privilege. I'm Steve Job's junior around the school playground, constantly promoting Apple's products. I'm the Apple IT guru for all the kids around school, even senior staff and teachers. I've spoken to the media on behalf of the school to talk about iPads (twice!) and constantly promoted the use of 300 iPad's within the school. I can't get enough of Apple!

I'm such a big fan, I was all set to name my firstborn son "Powerbook G5"... but we all know how that went, so he's called Matthew instead. Good name... but "Powerbook G5" would have been even better. Damn.Maybe the cat can be "iPad 3"...

I am so in love with Apple that i have started my son, who is just 2, on an iPhone. Since all our gear at home is a Mac, he already knows the logo and says Apple when he sees it. I even use an Apple keyboard and mouse at work on a windows system.. Here is my story..

      It started with a PowerMac
      What a wonderful beginning,
      Bundled with a 32gb iPod
      Used an Airport for networking..

      Of course gotta have accessories
The remote and more than one cable,
      And the software like Bento
      Garage Band and OmniGraffle..

      Then to something portable
      A black Macbook for travelling,
Couldnt go past the iPod Touch
      Since that too was beckoning..

      Then i wanted a unibody
So i added a MacBook Pro,
Then hubby needed a new phone
The iPhone was the only way to go..

But a new iPhone 5 came out
What to do i briefly thought,
      Well of course upgrade!
Voila! A new iPhone was bought..

      Then came the iPad
Oh wow what a thing of beauty,
      Waited patiently for version 2
Because i want that one for me!

      But wait there's the Air
More portable n lighter than my MBP,
      Maybe the MacBook needs upgrading
Add to my growing Apple family..

I've never mocked the name of the iPad (as difficult as it is to believe). Even the MacTalk live podcast had a laugh during the product announcement.
Seriously though, despite my limited technology budget, I try my best to avoid sub-par products and stick with Apple's products because of their attention to detail. Unfortunately, way more friends buy Macs based on my recommendation than my family and I do.

I've been joined at the hip with Apple through some tremendous highs and heartbreaking lows. I won my first Mac at university in 1992 and been with them, through thick and thin, ever since. I rode with beside them as Apple plunged into irrelevance and near bankruptcy in 1996/97, debating whether it's such a great idea buying a computer from a company that may not exist in six months, then spent the next decade and half, stunned in disbelief, as the company rose, phoenix like, from near death to technological dominance. It's been a hell of ride but one that wouldn't have missed for anything. And the greatest thing is, I think the best years are yet to come...

I grew up in an IBM PC house, as my dad worked for IBM. But the very first time I used a Mac was a friend's whose family had just bought the original Mac in 1985. WOW! I was blown away and a fan was born!So the very first computer I bought with my own money when I started university was a Mac - a fact that greatly disappointed my dad!Since then, I've been an all Mac-user in an Apple household. Of note was the time I waited in line in LA for the release of the original iPad when I was there for a conference. I bought 3 - one for me, one for my wife, and another to sell which actually paid for both our iPads! I was so blown away by the original iPad that I repeated the experience and got in line for the original iPad2.These days, I have a 2011 27"iMac, 11"Macbook Air, and a Mac mini for my wife. The both of us have an iPhone4 and iPad2 each. The home network is through an Airport Extreme and Airport Express. And hooked up to my TV is an AppleTV2.As far as technology is concerned, I live in an all Apple house. And my wife and I are both major Apple fans!

I am Apple's biggest fan because I stay up for every product announcement they make, regardless of whether I am going to be buying it. My two "top sites" in Safari after google are MacRumors and MacTalk, which myself-diagnosed OCD dictates I must check every time the pages update. My first Apple product was a first generation iPod shuffle, which was released on my 11th birthday. I also own the first generation iPod nano, the second and fourth generation iPod touches, a MacBook Pro and an iPhone 3G.Perhaps the thing I love most about Apple is the degree of perfection they maintain with all their products. I wish I could own more, but can't really afford it on the budget of a 17 year old.The thing that makes me the biggest Apple fan around, is the level of OCD with which I approach the spelling of their "i" products. Nothing disgusts me more than seeing or hearing someone say "iTouch", or even "ipod", or "Ipod".I love Apple, and would love to win!!
