They've also updated <a href="http://bjango.com/apps/phases/">Phases</a>, their moon tracking app and <a href="http://bjango.com/apps/cities/">Cities</a>, a world time app. <a href="http://www.islayer.com/apps/istatpro/">iStat pro</a>, the ultimate widget, made by the same guys, has also been updated to 4.8.

Apple has <a href="http://arstechnica.com/apple/news/2009/04/apple-continues-its-mysterious-chip-plans-with-new-hire.ars">poached the CTO of AMD's Graphics Products Group</a>, Bob Drebin. (not to be confused with <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lieutenant_Frank_Drebin">Frank Drebin</a> of Police Squad). Together with the purchase of <a href="http://www.appleinsider.com/article.php?id=3991">P.A Semi</a> and <a href="http://www.9to5mac.com/mark-papermaster-Bob-Drebin">Mr. Papermaster</a> now able to start work *and* Apple's investment in <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/12/19/apple-buys-a-little-imagination-3-6-percent-to-be-exact/">Imagination Technologies</a> - you can certainly smell what Apple is cooking. I bet it's quite delicious. I hope we can eat it soon. Yum.

M-Audio is telling it's Mac customers not to use <a href="http://createdigitalmusic.com/2009/04/27/mac-usb-audio-woes-m-audio-says-avoid-the-left-hand-usb-port/">the left-hand side USB ports</a> on MacBook Pro's. This is due to the way Apple has hooked up the USB port on that side, as it already acts a USB hub of sorts for the keyboard, trackpad, iSight, infra-red and Bluetooth.

My partner, who is a nurse (and an Apple nerd too), dreams of something similar reaching her Parkville-based hospital.
