These CPUs are what will be in the next iMacs, MacBooks and eventually, Mac Mini. They should be very nice speed bumps, like what we saw with the Mac Pro going to Nehalem core CPUs.

Apple has announced that the App Store has had 2 billion app downloads. They also said there's 80,000 apps available, for over 50 million iPhone & iPod Touch customers. And Steve Ballmer said no-one would pay for an iPhone, hah - you pathetic retarded gimp.

These Notepod iPhone pads are really cool. You can sketch ideas for iPhone apps or iPhone websites directly on to these iPhone sized pieces of paper. Only $18US shipped! (plus they're Australian, so yay for that!) If you prefer your purchasing in meatspace, our mates Xero Computing in Carlton have them in stock (about a 10 min walk from Melbourne Uni)

Charlie Brooker writes a piece about why Mac users should just leave him the hell alone to use his crappy Windows computer in peace. He knows it sucks, but he doesn't care and doesn't like us Mac losers bothering him. I totally agree. Let the Windows monkeys use their Windows boxes, don't waste your time!

Because you're a Mac using wanker, you've probably got a glass desk. You've probably cried a river on numerous internet forums that your mouse doesn't work on it, because it's glass and optical mice don't work on glass. Until now. Logitech's M950 works on glass and you are happy.

The UK now has two places to get an iPhone, O2 (who had the 1st Gen iPhone) and as of now, Orange. Australia has 4 telcos and we can buy it outright. The lucky country indeed.

The Barracuda is a common HD in these machines, I'd do an SMC reset which should settle the fans down. Also check that all fans are operating properly/plugged
