Apple and Steve Jobs are still being <a href="http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=newsarchive&sid=aNkwbcPcRniQ">reviewe d by the SEC</a>. The good news is the law is murky when it comes to corporate disclosures about a CEO’s health.
<a href="http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/09/07/07/apple_to_drop_webobjects_in_snow_leopard_server.ht ml">Webobjects to be dropped?</a> Originally priced at $50,000 per deployment license, Apple dramatically lowered the price of WebObjects to $699 in 2000 and then in 2005 bundled the software for free deployment with Mac OS X Server. Later this year however, WebObjects will disappear entirely in the release of Snow Leopard Server, which sources say has scrubbed any mention of the deployment runtime.
With the launch of Google's Chrome OS today <a href="http://news.cnet.com/8301-17939_109-10282170-2.html">Eric Schmidt</a> could be forced off of Apple's board of directors due to ever increasing conflicts of interest.
Gizmodo is reporting that the white iPhone 3GS is being produced in smaller numbers than its black counterpart and that it is <a href="http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2009/07/the-white-iphone-3gs-is-rare-like-a-unicorn/">rare like a unicorn</a>.
Developers discussing the <a href="http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=24101">possible schism</a> between the iPhone 3GS and the older iPhone 3G. The good news is they don't think that there will be one.
Jonathan Ive, who has lead the design team at Apple since 1996 went before a group of 700 londoners and talked about Apple. The good news is <a href="http://www.businessweek.com/innovate/next/archives/2009/07/jonathan_ive_th.html#more"> "Apple's goal isn't to make money".</a>
Some smart developers turned their iPhone Application into a <a href="http://www.loopinsight.com/2009/07/07/developer-takes-iphone-app-to-brick-and-mortar-business/?sr=hotnews">brick and mortar business</a>. Chris Metts is renting an iPod Touch to tourists preloaded with his City Slicker application, and from the sounds of it the tour it provides is better than any bus or audio tour.
