On the 11th of November, the MacTalk podcast will hit a milestone of 100 episodes. To celebrate this fact, we're doing this episode live on stage! If you're in Melbourne, join us on the night of the 11th of November, at the Birmingham Hotel in Fitzroy for beers, pizza and Apple geekery of the highest order.

There will be free beers for our special podcast subscriber mates (so if you want free beer, you have until the 10th to sign up!). There will be a Mac running iTunes with our favourite music on it, so load up your iPhone or iPod Touch with the Remote app so you can connect to it. There's a projector to show what we're talking about and a wireless mic in the audience, so instead of shouting at yourself when listening to us, you can actually shout at us!

    When: Wednesday, 11th November, 2009

Time: arrive 7:30-8:00PM - live podcast starts at 9:00PM and will go for approx 90 minutes.

Where: Birmingham Hotel, Fitzroy - 333 Smith Street (Google Map) - we're in the function room, but you enter via the main bar.

What to Bring: Money for food & drinks.

The Birmingham can hold 100+ people, so let's try and fill it up! Pop a comment in this thread to let us know if you're going. I'll see you on the 11th!

Big props to CompNow who have given us a $100 gift voucher for any CompNow store to give away! To win it, post in this forum thread to let us know if you're going to join us on the night - we'll pick a random person who posted in that thread to win the $100 voucher.

The Barracuda is a common HD in these machines, I'd do an SMC reset which should settle the fans down. Also check that all fans are operating properly/plugged
