Apple has released an official statement about the death of the Foxconn worker in China who apparently had a prototype 4th gen iPhone. "We are saddened by the tragic loss of this young employee, and we are awaiting results of the investigations into his death. We require our suppliers to treat all workers with dignity and respect.
Intel has released new SSD products that use a 32nm manufacturing process - which means they're faster and cheaper than their previous models. No Australian pricing on it yet, but going by the price cuts in the USA, we should see the pricing drop significantly.
Skype 2.8 for Mac is out. The main feature is that now you can now share your screen. There's some other stuff too, which is all detailed on the Skype for Mac blog.
Microsoft has released Office 2008 Service Pack 2. There's a bunch of updates in it and TidBITS breaks it down for ya.
TidBITS checks out some Apple themed t-shirts. There's even a book all about Apple themed t-shirts if you are so inclined.
The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition has hit the iPhone & iPod Touch - if you've never played this legendary game, I suggest you do, immediately.
Apparently there are 354,715 iPod Touches in Australia and 762,161 iPhones. Well there you go.
An iPhone app called Sudoku Grab, can take a sudoku puzzle from a printed form, and place it on your iPhone, ready to solve on screen. Pretty snazzy tech, so the developer has constructed a blog post explaining how it all works.
One of my favourite magazines, Dumbo Feather, Pass it On, has a digital version, available via the App Store, ready to read on your iPhone! Personally, I much much prefer the print version (the paper feels nice, mmm), but the digital version is also pretty cool.
